    “The Conference will focus on policy innovation and key initiatives relating to the new provincial Corporate Plan, Where Ideas Work. The conference will include a Keynote Address by Deputy Minister Lori Halls, followed by two panel discussions and an open Q&A session with a variety of speakers, including:

    • Rueben Bronee – Executive Lead, Public Service Engagement and Corporate Initiatives, BC Public Service Agency
    • Carmen Zabarauckas – Innovation Lead, Public Service Engagement and Corporate Initiatives, BC Public Service Agency
    • Jeremy Coad – Executive Project Director, Centre for Data Innovation, Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training
    • Lise LeLievre – Director, Aboriginal Policy, Ministry of Children and Family Development”

    Our Executive Director, Kathleen Cunningham will be moderating a panel on evidence-based policy as innovative policy between 9:45 am and 10:30 am

    The Conference will run from Friday 24th March (early afternoon) to Saturday 25th March (late afternoon, following the CALRAs General Meeting)

    Kathleen Cunningham, Executive Director of the BC Law Institute will be in attendance.

    Conference topics include: key characteristics of good law reform, law reform in the United States of America, victims of crime, relations between Law Reform Agencies and the Executive and the Legislature, harmonisation of laws in the United States of America, and a written guide to good practice in law reform.

    The Conference is equally open to members of CALRAs, and to non-members, and from the Commonwealth and elsewhere.  There will be no registration fee for attending the CALRAs Conference.
