This project is concerned with legislative reform in the area of pre-judgment interest. At the time the project was carried out, only a relatively narrow range of claims would give rise to the awarding of pre-judgment interest. This area of law was both complex and obscure and the existing legislation did not adequately address the issues surrounding the awarding of pre-judgment interest.
