A year-end update of the Strata Property Law Project

The Strata Property Law Project—Phase Two has seen significant progress in 2015. The high points of the year were the publication of the committee’s first report, the Report on Terminating a Strata (PDF), and the implementation of that report’s recommendations in Bill 40. New Publication! Older Women Fleeing Violence and Abuse

The Canadian Centre for Elder Law was invited to submit an article to the Journal of Elder Abuse and Neglect’s special issue on abuse of older women. Societies Act coming into force in November 2016

The law governing not-for-profit corporations in British Columbia is going to change dramatically in a little over a year, with the announcement that the new Societies Act will come into force on 28 November 2016.
