British Columbia Law Institute congratulates Board Chair Lisa A. Peters, Q.C. on being appointed Queen’s Counsel. Peters, who has served on BCLI’s Board of Directors since 2010, is the Senior Research and Opinions Partner with Lawson Lundell LLP and has held the position of BCLI Board Chair since late 2016.
The appointment, which was announced by Attorney General and Minister of Justice Suzanne Anton, Q.C. on Friday, also appointed Tony Wilson, Q.C., of Boughton Law Corporation. Wilson, a long-time supporter of BCLI’s work, is a former member of the Unfair Contracts Relief Project committee and was a frequent participant in the Boughton and BCLI’s “Great Debate” events. He has been a bencher of the Law Society of British Columbia since 2012.
“We are delighted to see that both Lisa and Tony have been recognized for their contributions to the legal profession,” said BCLI Executive Director Kathleen Cunningham. “The fruits of their work on behalf of law reform in British Columbia can be felt across the province.”
