Congratulations to our Board member Professor Alexandra Flynn and her Housing Assessment Resource Tools (HART) team for receiving the Gold Roof Award for Housing Research Excellence from Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) Société canadienne d’hypothèques et de logement(SCHL).

Their project developed a suite of 3 evidence-based tools aimed at helping governments and housing providers to better understand and address their housing needs.

On March 5th, we had the pleasure of meet and greet with Shauna Van Praagh, President of the Law Commission of Canada, and Kirk Shannon, the Director-General and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the LCC.  It was a delightful encounter filled with enlightening discussions and wonderful connections.

In collaboration with Women Transforming Cities, Megan Vis-Dunbar, our Staff Lawyer, presented at a virtual town hall on February 28th. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in discussions and share their ideas on enhancing the public hearing process in BC.
